Nerea Café Caballito, nestled on Av. Avellaneda 99 in Buenos Aires, is a true gem for coffee lovers and brunch aficionados alike. This charming coffee shop has carved out a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors, offering a combination of exceptional quality, attentive service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both relaxed and energizing.
One of the standout experiences here is the thoughtfully curated brunch menu. Take, for example, the beloved “desayunito” — a perfectly balanced plate featuring toasted bread topped with creamy ricotta enlivened by a hint of lemon, accompanied by fluffy scrambled eggs cooked to perfection and vibrant cherry tomatoes bursting with freshness. Every bite showcases the café’s commitment to quality ingredients and skillful preparation, making it a dish that lingers delightfully on the palate.
The coffee at Nerea Café is just as impressive. From a silky latte to robust espresso, each cup is brewed with care, capturing the nuanced flavors and rich aromas that true coffee connoisseurs crave. Emilia Guidobono’s praise for her latte and Joshua Kroscen’s high regard for the café’s coffee echo the experience shared by many: a harmonious marriage between expertly prepared food and beverages.
What elevates the experience further is the café’s ambiance and customer service. The space is thoughtfully designed, creating a perfect nook for intimate conversations, relaxed brunches, or even productive work sessions, as noted by Ana Gaeta. Friendly, professional staff greet you with genuine warmth and efficiency, enhancing the comfort and ease of every visit.
For those who cherish quality without the extravagant price tag, Nerea Café delivers excellent value. Prices like 3200 Argentine pesos for the “desayunito” and 2500 for a latte reflect a considerate balance of affordability and premium quality — a rare find in the city’s bustling café scene.
Whether you’re seeking a tranquil spot to savor a meticulously crafted coffee, a fresh and wholesome brunch, or a welcoming environment to catch up with friends, Nerea Café Caballito stands out with its authentic charm and dedication to excellence. It’s no wonder it’s quickly becoming a favorite for many, including food enthusiasts like Marisela Trevin who rave about its consistently high-quality ingredients and creative flavors.
In every sense, Nerea Café Caballito is more than just a coffee shop — it’s a small, flavorful escape in the heart of Buenos Aires where every visit feels like a pleasure for the senses and a boost for the spirit.

Wonderful coffee and brunch place. I had the ‘desayunito’ - it is a toast, ricotta with a little lemon, scrambled eggs (deliciously done) and tomato cherrys. A really nice dish. Latte was great too! Prices were nice, and quality was great! dish was 3200, latte was 2500 (pesos argentinos) (February 2024) Service was super good! People were friendly and fast.

This cafe should be more highly rated than it is. The food is incredible. The coffee is great. Service is prompt, friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable. And the seating is well designed. I have not been able to find another cafe in the area anywhere close to the quality. Try the croissant brunch option

Lovely place to have a chat with friends and also if you need a space to work. The dishes are super healthy and they serve water in a CAN! That was really surprising for me. Hahaha I will come back.
